This is a free preview rebuild of the Hankerton website, made by Greg to show what a fast, accessible site could look like. It is not the council's live site. Who made this

How to reach the clerk, and how this preview came about.

The clerk

The clerk deals with the council's correspondence. If you would like something considered at a meeting, write to the clerk and ask for it to be put on the agenda.

Michael Bromley Gardner
Parish Clerk
Coomb Cottage, Charlton, Malmesbury, Wiltshire SN16 9DR

On the live site the clerk's email and phone number would sit here, one tap to contact.

Send a message

This is a preview, so the form does not send. On the live site it would email the clerk.

Accessibility

This preview is built to the WCAG 2.2 AA standard. Every page has been checked for colour contrast, keyboard operation with a visible focus indicator, heading structure and landmarks, labelled form fields, text alternatives for images, a minimum target size of 24 pixels, and reflow without sideways scrolling down to a 320 pixel screen and at 200 per cent zoom.

Automated checks cannot prove everything, and a full audit with a screen reader would still be worth doing. A live rebuild would also ship with a dated, published accessibility statement, which is what the annual return's Assertion 10 asks a council to confirm.

Who made this preview

I am Greg. I build websites for parish councils as a fixed, one-day job: accessible, fast on a phone, and owned outright by the council with nothing monthly to pay. This preview is free and there is no obligation attached to it.
